Priests of the Sacred Heart - Canada

Father Dehon, our Founder, was a person who placed great value on understanding the real hopes, disappointments and hungers that exist among people. This was his starting point for ministry. It led to a broad scope of ministry through which people could experience the limitless love of the Heart of God. His priorities were ministry to workers and the poor, education, and the missionary activity.

In Canada we have had a rich history of varied ministry since 1910. Ministry has included:

parish ministry,
chaplaincy in schools, hospitals and correctional institutions,
education at the secondary school and university levels,
ministry to immigrants, and assisting them with the whole process of settlement,
hospice care for persons with AIDS,
ministry to the divorced and separated,
youth and child protection work,
ministry to the homeless and counselling
spiritual direction, and
retreat work.

Internationally, we are involved in variety of ministries.
